March 2004

I love being able to get software out of the box and just get it running without having to mess around with a whole lot of funny settings to get it to work. WordPress is fantastic.  I’m still playing with the styles. Got this one from a design competition site.

I think I might shift the nav over to the left and change the fonts. I don’t like serif and sans-serif together, especially in the same headings

Fish Mosaic Paver

Went to the Martinborough fair today.  My wife makes kids clothes and I had to go and help sell them. She also makes mosaic pavers that are really cool.

Heaps of people walk past and say “I could do that” but then you meet someone that has actually tried and and they always tell us how good they are and how much work goes into them.

It would be a great fair to visit once or twice. It’s not as good as it was 5 years ago. Ther is some cool stuff and great artists but there is also a lot of crap. It’s worth the drive on a nice fine autumn day like yesterday.

Edit: Let me know if you want to see more pictures. I have heaps.

Here it is…

I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. My own blog that is. I don’t have much to say tonight (wow, what a great start to a blog).

More will come…

About josephlindsay.com

This is the personal website of Joseph Lindsay (Joe). It’s just like a lot of other blogs out there. It’s where I rant about stuff that is of interest to me. It’s not for anyone else. It’s not to promote myself. It’s just a blog so that I can look back in a year or two and go ‘wow that was cool’ or ‘what the hell was I thinking’. It started after a couple of conversations I had with a librarian that I worked with. She encouraged me to write something everyday (not necessarily a blog) ; even if it was only brief.

My opinion is my own. If I say something you disagree with, feel free to chip in. Constructive criticism is appreciated: I always want to learn. I’m thick skinned, but don’t abuse me.

About Joe

I am married to Wendi and have two fantastic kids. I live in a typical kiwi house with a white picket fence, a cat and a dog. Home is on the Kapiti Coast, which is about an hour drive North of Wellington (New Zealand). I avoid the city because I prefer open spaces but have to go there for work. As far as cities go Wellington’s pretty cool. I drive a big car because it fits my longboard, which I don’t use nearly as often as I want.
