We have the package with phone + tv + 1GB internet. (Triple Service 1G package of $91.90 + $10.95 for cable modem rental). We were paying $88.90 for the phone/tv/dial-up so it’s not a huge price increase.
I thought it was a bit rude of TelstraClear to make us sign up for a minimum 2 years to get the install free when we have been with them since the first day they layed the cable outside our house (about 5 years ago). Also you have to rent their cable modem, they won’t let you use your own (which I could get for about US$60)
Which broadband deal did you go with? I’m still on lousy dial-up…
