Hello just stopping in to say welcome to FFAF!

I’m a pretty unoriginal person in most aspects, so I find it hard to think of something to say for FFAF if I’m not doing my movie screenshots (like this month) or given a suggestion.

So…. let’s see…..

St. Patrick’s day will be here soon.
What’s that mean to me?
Mostly nothing.

Friday 25 February is my first Free for all Friday. Posting will be open to all guests from late Thursday now until Saturday, just to cover all of the time zones.

Just follow the steps below:

1. Log in with username ‘FFAF’ (case sensitive) and password ‘password’
2. Click on the ‘Write’ link
3. Write your stuff
   • Please keep it somewhat clean…if you don’t think I would post it, don’t.
   • I might delete and or edit any posts I feel are inappropriate.
   • Please don’t forget to sign your post and pimp your blog. If I don’t know who you are I can’t come to your blog and share the fun.
4. Hit the ‘Publish’ button and it will join the queue for review go live (it is Free for all after all).

I’ve upgraded to WP1.5 and am using the theme ‘Placid‘ from Chris Lin. I’m still working out a few things, like getting caching on my del.icio.us links in the sidebar working.

I’m not a huge sci-fi fan, but I saw the miniseries and episode 1 and 2 of battlestar galactica that a friend got of the net. Now it looks like TV3 have picked it up for Saturday nights.

Yes, I have kids. They’re mutually exclusive with social life outside work hours.

At the moment I’m working on lots of boring stuff and not doing any interesting web development. So here goes my limited time free offer: If you have a design/page/template that is currently bad tag soup, or just a photoshop or fireworks design and you would like it turned into a standards compliant page/template, just let me know and I’ll help you out.

To Clarify: I’m not a graphic designer. If you have something that is already designed, but the background code is a mess or non-existant and want it fixed I’ll give it a go.

I can’t use my PC for more than about 15 minutes from lunchtime. It’s too hot. It just stops working. Specifically, the harddrives can’t be detected. I can still boot with Knoppix and use the net, but I can’t do any real work. The next morning all is OK again.

What’s nearly as bad is that in this heat my IR remote controls for my TV and stereo both stop working too. While getting up to change the channel is a pain, it’s worse that I can’t use some functions without the remotes.

It’s a good thing I live near the beach.
